Volume 2 (Jan. 4, 1936 to June 6, 1936)
Complete run of this rare radical newspaper, the official organ of the Workers Party of the United States (WPUS), headed by A.J. Muste and James P. Cannon. Cannon's Communist League of America terminated its own publication, "The Militant," at the time of its merger with Muste's American Workers Party. This publication was the successor.
This publication terminated early in June 1936 when the organization disestablished itself and the bulk of its members entered the Socialist Party of America en masse.
